USA Properties and partner, LifeSTEPS, established the JB Brown Fund in 2011, a nonprofit organization that has given more than $116,000 college scholarships to low-income residents living in USA Properties communities. The JB Brown Fund, named after USA Properties’ founder, also assists parents with children participating in youth sports, and families and seniors faced with a financial hardship due to an extraordinary – and unexpected – expense, such as a car repair or the need for new eyeglasses or hearing aids. USA Properties employees, contractors, partners and vendors donate to the JB Brown Fund.
